Give Back by Participating in the 18th Annual 5K Turkey Trot November 24th
Thanksgiving is not only a time to reflect upon everything you’re grateful for, but also to consider how you can lend a hand to those who may be in need. Laurel Advocacy and Referral Services (LARS) helps those in need year-round, partly thanks to the funds raised by their Annual 5K Turkey Trot on November 24th.
Now in its 18th year, this fundraising event comes back around every Thanksgiving as a way to let the community get in on the good deeds that LARS constantly doles out. From securing permanent homes for the unhoused to providing pantry staples to the hungry, its far-reaching services offer all types of support for members of our local community. Register for the 18th Annual 5K Turkey Trot and come to McCullough Field on Thanksgiving morning to be part of this mission! By running the fun 5K, you’ll not only get a healthy headstart on the holiday, but you’ll also be donating a portion of your registration fee ($45) to the good work that LARS is doing. If you want to participate without the early wake-up call, you’re also welcome to simply donate!
