Join in the Fun at the Montpelier 5K Walk and Run on May 14th
There’s no time like the present to breathe new life into your fitness routine. Let the Montpelier 5K Walk and Run kickstart a spring and summer of outdoor exercise. On Saturday, May 14th the 5K will return to your community, starting and ending at the Montpelier Community parking lot with many local sights in between.
Register online for $10 or show up a little early the day of the event and try to snag one of the limited race-day registration slots. The kids’ fun run (a one-mile walk) kicks off the day at 9 a.m., followed by the 5K race at 9:10 a.m. Feel free to run, jog, or walk the 3.2-mile course as it meanders along Oxwell and Eastbourne Lanes, culminating in a slight uphill incline at Silverbirch Lane after which you’re rewarded with a downhill stretch at Briardale Lane. That will land you at the finish line, where snacks, games, and awards await! Note that there will be three water stops along the course, and strollers and leashed pets are welcome to join in the fun for free!
