Register Now for the 15th Annual Laurel 5K Turkey Trot
How about starting your Thanksgiving holiday with a heart-pounding, sweat-inducing 5K race through the streets of Laurel? This November 28 you can do just that by signing up for the 15th Annual Laurel 5K Turkey Trot. The race begins at 8:30 a.m. at McCullough Field, and typically draws about 800 participants. Many runners are serious racers who appreciate the fact that the course is USATF certified and the race is chip timed. But many runners are simply out to have a good time getting some fresh air with friends and family.
If completing the full 5K doesn’t sound like your style, consider coming just to cheer on the runners and enjoy the family-friendly post-race celebration. Event organizers are also happy to note that proceeds from the race benefit local nonprofits and all runners are encouraged to bring non-perishable food to donate to the LARS food pantry.
