Step Back in Time at the Maryland Renaissance Festival
It’s back again – the Maryland Renaissance Festival has taken over the English Tudor Village for an experience unlike any other you’ll find in the area all year. The second-largest Renaissance Festival in the country, the event brings the 16th century to life right before our eyes. With over 1,000 staff required to put this event on, they truly pull out all the stops and transport you to another land and another time. This year the storyline takes place in 1537! There are over 130 shops and over 40 food vendors with tasty eats like the ever-popular smoked turkey legs to cherry limeade slushies, crepes to fried pickles, and just about everything in between.
They recommend that even though you can purchase your tickets to the festival at the gate, do it online prior to the show to ensure you won’t get turned away if it sells out. You also won’t have to wait in line which is a major plus at such a large event!
